Both Marty and Kate now practicing at the Areis Building

I shifted my practice to the Aries Building in April and my husband, Marty Ryan, followed suit in June. You'll now find us both at 2366 Eastlake Ave E, Suites 424 and 426 (at the corner of Eastlake and Louisa.)

While we're still offering the same great services (massage for stress, pain, and anxiety reduction, belly massage, Zero Balancing and so on) we're adding another focus:
Case studies with special populations.

In particular, we're looking for singers (professional or pastime) who struggle with acid reflux. If you, or anyone you know fits the bill, please call or e-mail us for details on the multi-session reduced rate we have to offer.

You'll find our schedules online -

Have a very happy 4th of July weekend!

Bringing Compassion into focus

Last weekend I was fortunate to meet Jon Ramer, a professional musician, and the Interim Executive Director for the Compassionate Action Network (CAN). The Compassionate Action Network is mobilizing people to designate their cities as Compassionate Cities. For them to succeed in getting Seattle, WA designated a Compassionate City they need 1,000 campaign members by March 15, 2010! Check out this link for more information - http://my.compassionateactionnetwork.com/page/seattle-campaign

Sign up TODAY if you support this wonderful campaign. It's free, easy, and adds your momentum to what's already afoot.

Encouraging Healthly Food Choices

Did you read this article? It seems we are starting to pay attention on a mass level to a food chain system that isn't working anymore. I know I vote with my food dollar - every day - carefully. Though I pay dearly for real food (not too much, mostly plants), I don't pay by compromising my health.

I regularly work with people with food sensitivities and when they start eating from a cleaner food supply it often makes a huge difference in their lives and health.

Building Sustainability into a Massage Practice

Kate Chase, LMP, Zero Balancer & MBA candidate at Bainbridge Graduate Institute was just asked to write feature article for April 2010 WA State American Massage Therapy Association's 'Green' issue. Topic: building sustainability into a massage therapy business plan.

To clients I would ask: is it important to you that your massage therapist has a plan for sustainability in their business plan - meaning they prioritize people, planet, and profit while also providing the service of
massage? Tell me a story!

Times are changing with food.... I work with a lot of folks on digestive and reproductive issues so I know this is a really hot topic.
